Remember Iraqi Perspectives Study? No report for you!
Wed Mar 12, 2008 at 12:19:04 PM PDT
Not a real diary, but more a comment. ABC News has this little blurb.
The Bush Administration apparently does not want a U.S. military study that found no direct connection between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda to get any attention. This morning, the Pentagon cancelled plans to send out a press release announcing the report's release and will no longer make the report available online.
The report was to be posted on the Joint Forces Command website this afternoon, followed by a background briefing with the authors. No more. The report will be made available only to those who ask for it, and it will be sent via U.S. mail from Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia.
It won't be emailed to reporters and it won't be posted online.
Funny. The report basically flew right back in the face of our dear beloved leader on his reasoning for going to war.
In any case, ABC posted the Executive Summary of the report in any case. Adobe Reader required, 3 MB file.
From an Obama Supporter, Congratulations Senator Clinton.

There, I said it.
I don't like her politics, but a winner is a winner. In essence, she won three out of four states (three of out five contests if you consider the Texas Caucuses a separate contest).
However, I have some advice for you as a supporter of the "challenger" to your throne.
Prepare for the firestorm.
Winning over the Generation: My Mother.
Fri Feb 29, 2008 at 04:46:22 PM PDT
I should note here that my mother is a shade over 50 and has never voted in her life. Not one single time.
However, some things, in her mind, had to change.
During the Clinton years, she benefited greatly. Though I live in a state that would sooner arrest then vote for him, she never voted on any level because it didn't matter. She told me that, no matter what, her voice wouldn't count because of the lock step machination of the local and state populace. One of the benefits I enjoy living in a larger city, I suppose.

Folks, there is an opportunity after Romney's exit. During his candidacy, there was exposed some deep prejudice against the LDS faith and its tenants.
What does that mean? Well, let's take a look.
A Blue Utah in November?

I know this is way, way early, and will more likely then not change, but a recent local poll, since Romney dropped out, seems to put Utah up for the general.
Hillary's campaign money issues? Stunt.

Why I care again.
Sun Jan 27, 2008 at 08:12:26 AM PDT
My mother, a Hillary supporter, asked why I am voting and supporting Obama. That got me thinking about, "why do I care so much about him?"
The answer to me, was simple.
Because I love history.
